If you received a postcard or letter in the mail about the our annual meeting, it is because you are (or you are in charge of a trust) that is an active member in the Garden City Co-op, Inc.  

Per our bylaws, we are required to notify all active members prior to our meeting.  It is not a requirement but if you'd like to know more about the business of the cooperative, this meeting is to give information about the prior year as well as voting on nominees for open positions on the board of directors.

OFFICIAL NOTICE OF THE ANNUAL COMMON STOCKHOLDERS MEETING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Annual Meeting of the Common Stockholders of The Garden City Co-op, Inc. will be held Monday, December 4th, at 2 o’clock p.m. at the Clarion Inn Convention Center, at 1911 E. Kansas Ave., Garden City, Kansas.  Registration will begin at 1:30 p.m. The purpose of the annual meeting will be to receive reports of officers and management including a review of audited financial statements, elect directors, and such other matters as may properly come before the membership.

Three director positions are open this year.  The nominating committee has put forward the names of Joanna Schmeeckle, Clayton Maddux, Jeff Herald, Dylan Linenberger and Shane Browning to run for these three positions.  

Meeting materials, including candidate biographies, can be found on the company website, www.gccoop.com.

This is an important meeting and the board of directors encourage your attendance and participation.  We look forward to celebrating, and in doing so, we will hold a drawing for five awards of early redemption up to $1,000 in Co-op stock.  Refreshments will be served.
