Summer Harvest Prep
Wheat harvest is one of the most exciting times of the year – and it’s just around the corner. To help harvest go as smoothly as possible, here are a few pre-harvest best practices:
Utilizing business units is the best way to make sure that your grain is ready to settle. We want to make sure that your tickets are accurate the first time – so be sure to verify all business units, landlords, and splits prior to harvest.
To minimize their truck’s time at the scale, we have seen some farmers keep lists of their business units in the truck. This helps to ensure that the driver and the scale operator are on the same page. Reach out to any of our offices to get a list printed!
Make sure that your account information is up-to-date. This includes phone number and address changes for your accounts, as well as any landlords.
Verify all contracted bushels with a member of the grain team.
Download the Garden City Co-op app (
Apple App Store
) (
Google Play
) This is a great way to see real-time ticket information and grain balances. Let us know if we can help get you set up and signed in.
From all of us here at Garden City Co-op, we appreciate your business and wish you a safe and bountiful harvest. We look forward to serving you!
