Farming on Your Schedule: The Power of Agronomy Automation

Mar 11, 2025

By Trevor Witt, Vice President of Crop Production

We’re excited to share some big news from our Agronomy Department that’s set to improve farmer efficiency and customer satisfaction! In 2024, we introduced 24-hour fertilizer automation at our Plymell location, which has already proven to be a major asset. We're now taking it a step further by bringing the same technology to our Lowe facility, with help from our partners at Kahler. The final touches are being put in place, and we’re aiming to have it operational in time for the busy March fertilizer run.

This investment is designed with you, our members, in mind. It’s all about giving you the flexibility to farm on your schedule, not just within GCC's hours of operation. While we will always do our best to have our team there when you need them, this technology ensures your operations can keep running smoothly even when we’re not around.

If you’re interested in learning how to make the most of this new system, we encourage you to stop by either the Plymell or Lowe Agronomy Facilities. Derek (Lowe) and Dustyn (Plymell) are ready to walk you and your team through the system and show you how it works.
