Maximizing Yields with Variable Rate Seeding

Spring is just around the corner!  Time to start thinking about planting; and variable rate seeding is a great way to maximize your yield potential! By adjusting the population according to the zone, you maximize the potential of each zone. For example, when you lower the seeding population in a zone that is showing a lower yield potential, you give the crop a better chance at fighting for the nutrients in that area. In the same way if you have a higher potential for yield you have the ability to raise the seeding rate because the plants will have the correct growing conditions for a higher population.  By doing so the grower can become more efficient with his or her inputs throughout the year.

So, reach out to the Precision Ag department today to have those fields zone mapped and ready for variable rate planting!
