Don't Let Splits and Units Slow You Down

By Nathan Flores, GCC Associate Grain Originator

As harvest season approaches, we ask all producers to review their current business units and set up any new fields, sections, or landlords as needed. Business units help you track your grain, manage bushels, and ensure that landlords receive their correct share of grain at settlement.

Your business units link to your GCC grain account, allowing you to print identifying information directly on your scale tickets. We can provide you with printed lists of active business units and help you make any necessary changes.

You can set up grain splits within a business unit, but we will not process or settle grain splits without your approval. Please call us or visit one of our branches to speak with a team member.

The GCC grain team will verify that our ticket totals match your physical-scale tickets and are assigned to the correct business units. We will also confirm that the grain is appropriately split if any special situations arise. Once everything is verified, we can quickly print accurate Proof of Yield reports for your records and insurance needs.

Please be aware that the current software systems at GCC track grain and agronomy splits separately. As a result, you must provide the GCC agronomy team with the specific splits you want applied to any agronomy-related products or services.

Thank you for your business. We are committed to providing clear and accurate services for your operations.
