An electronic monitor is installed in your fuel tank. The monitor records the tank volume periodically and sends a signal to a controller. When your tank's level falls below a predetermined level, an order is automatically generated for a fuel delivery. Currently this program is designed for transport loads. On the 1st of every month, billing is done on the amount of fuel used.
As you upgrade your equipment, the Garden City Co-op offers bulk and packaged DEF to meet new emission standards. DEF or Diesel Exhaust Fluid is a non-hazardous solution of 32.5% urea and 67.5% de-ionized water that is sprayed into the exhaust stream of diesel vehicles to break down Nitrogen Oxides emitted through a process called Selective Catalytic Reduction or SCR.
