In April, most growers are thinking about planting season, but something that growers should also be considering is Tissue sampling. Why is this important? Because like soil sampling data is important, it gives you knowledge which as we all know gives us power. Tissue sampling gives us the power to control inputs. Knowing what nutrients your crop is deficient in and by how much will help you to determine what and when you should apply extra fertilizer. Knowing the nutrient values in the soil and in the crop tissue will give you a 360 degree view of the overall health of your field.
